Breakfast Recipes
For tadka
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
½ tsp fenugreek seeds
15-20 curry leaves
1 small dried chilli
½ tsp Hing
For the sambar
1 tbsp oil
½ cup sliced onions
½ cup chopped pumpkin
½ cup diced brinjal
½ cup drumsticks
2 cups water
1 tsp chilli powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1 cup diced tomatoes (seeds removed)
2 cups boiled Toor Dal
1 tbsp sambar powder
2 tbsp tamarind pulp

1. For the sambar, using the saute function heat oil in the nutripot then add the onions & saute till soft, follow by adding the vegetables & saute for another minute.
2. Now add water & bring to a boil, boil the vegetables for 2 minutes then add the spice powders, tomatoes, toor dal & tamarind pulp.
3. Season with salt & using the sambar function on the nutripot, close & cook for 10-12 minutes.
4. While the sambar is cooking prepare the tadka/temper for this heat oil in a pan & add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds once they crackle add the curry leaves, dried chillies & hing, give it a quick stir.
5. When the timer for the sambar is done, open the lid & add the tadka, mix well & serve hot
6. Gobble! Gobble! Gobble!
