This lentils and vegetable stew is a very healthy dish and is served hot with idli, dosa, medu-wada or cooked rice. Vegetables like pumpkin, okra, egg plant, onion, tomatoes, drum sticks are cooked with sambar powder, tamarind pulp, sambar powder, turmeric, salt, asafoetida and cooked lentils split pigeon pea. Later tempering made of curry leaves, dry chilies, mustard seeds is added for more flavour and aroma. Serve it with Idli, Dosa, or cooked rice. Enjoy!
